When I was a young guy I expressed my uncle the interest of reading comic books. He suggested me to read books, because it would be profitable for me.
During the times as a student I read books – books of studies, dictionaries. I also had the interest in reading spiritual books like the Qur'an and the Bible.
Well it is a very important matter of how do you read a book.
Do you want read it in an intellectual way or does your heart say “I am in trouble. I need a solution. Which book tells me the truth, from where do I get help?”
First of all it was an interest in knowing the differences between the Qur'an and the Bible.
The Qur'an shows that there is no Son of God who died for us sinners on Calvary's cross. The Bible however shows it. In times of difficulties I had the interest in reading the Bible.
It shows up in Romans 3:23-
It means that we are sinners and we are not perfect in God's sight, however we are justified by his grace through Christ's substitutionary death on Calvary's cross. That's amazing, because you cannot read it in the Qur'an or in any secular books.
Do you remember when the 2nd malefactor cried on the cross “ Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom.”? It is written in Luke 23:42. It's my favorite verse in in the Bible. Reading the complete chapter you'll see that the first malefactor mocked Christ, while the second one was aware of his sins and asking Christ for help. It's a form of how we have to act.
On 02/05/2006 I confessed my sins in a quiet room, asking for forgiveness and accepting Christ as my Lord and Savior. Despite all the problems surrounding me, I am Christ's sheep and child of God. I told to my uncle that Jesus Christ is my lord and Savior. He was pleased to hear that.
Now I am asking you to follow this way.
• 1) Repenting your sins,
• 2) Asking for forgiveness
• 3)Accepting Lord Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior
• 4) Doing the will of God
